Rules and Regulation

These rules apply to all boarders. Please read carefully and follow them to ensure a safe, secure and conducive environment for study.

  1. Rooms once allotted for the academic year are not interchangeable without the permission of the deputy warden / resident tutor.
  2. Students should not tamper with any electrical or permanent fittings. Any loss or damage will be recovered from the occupants concerned. Use of electrical appliances without permission may lead to expulsion from the hostel.
  3. Costs for damage/loss of fittings common to the block will be recovered on a collective basis.
  4. No function or meeting shall be arranged within the hostel or campus without prior written permission from the warden.
  5. Any student removed from the college automatically ceases to be a member of the hostel.
  6. Accommodation will not be given to students who are not active boarders in the hostel.
  7. No student should stay away from the hostel on any day without prior permission of the concerned deputy warden / associate warden / warden.
  8. Only boarders should be found in the hostel. Unauthorized persons require prior permission; otherwise action will be taken against the boarder and may lead to expulsion.
  9. Abnormal activities causing disturbance to neighbours are not permitted in rooms.
  10. Students should not paste posters, pictures, etc. on the walls, doors, windows, or shelves.
  11. When students go out of their room at night for fairly long intervals, they should switch off lights.
  12. Students should not keep large amounts of cash or costly items in their rooms. Management will not be responsible for any loss.
  13. Married students are not eligible for hostel accommodation.
  14. Students should not keep mopeds, motorcycles, scooters or cars in the hostel premises.
  15. Telephones provided in the blocks should not be misused. Outside calls should be limited per block rules.
For Boys Hostel
  • Boys should settle in their rooms at 10:30 P.M. on normal days and at 11:00 P.M. on free nights (Saturdays).
  • Male students are not permitted to leave the campus or re-enter after 10:30 P.M. without extraordinary valid reason.
  • In exceptional situations they may enter on surrendering their IDENTITY CARD to security staff on duty, subject to approval.

 

For Girls Hostel

Going home

Inmates will be allowed to go home once a month only if parents give written requisition stating reason and duration. They will be permitted only for valid reasons — parents should apply directly to the deputy warden.

Guardian stay

Girls are not permitted to stay overnight at a guardian's house unless there is a specific written requisition from parents.

Visitors

Only 3 authorised visitors (including parents) are permitted. They must possess visitor cards with photo and signature by the associate warden and visit only during visiting hours.

Timings & roll call

Students should return before 6:30 P.M.. Roll call is taken at 6:30 P.M..

Jewellery & outings

Students are advised not to wear costly jewellery items. During holidays students may go out for up to 4 hours after signing register; for up to 6 hours prior permission is required.
