The department is equipped with a total of 134 computers, distributed across various laboratories. To support practical coursework, relevant open-source software has been consolidated on the CSE department server, allowing students to access these tools remotely via FTP.

PE01 : Graduates will be in IT industries as leaders and experts in providing technically feasible and socially acceptable solutions to complex real life problems by virtue of their core competence and communication skills.

PE02 : Graduates will emerge as innovative researchers/developers by engaging in lifelong learning.

The Department of Information Technology was established in 2001 with the aim of fostering academic excellence, where new ideas, research, and scholarship thrive to drive innovations in the IT industry. Information Technology is one of the most rapidly growing programs at GCT. The four-year undergraduate program in Information Technology is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in both basic and advanced courses, reflecting the latest technological advancements.
